The data is extracted from a variety of government agencies, transformed, and loaded into our database. See the Database Description for specific information.

Airline and Air Carrier On Time Performance - These queries and reports use on-time performance data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). Contains scheduled and actual departure and arrival times reported by certified U.S. air carriers that account for at least one percent of domestic scheduled passenger revenues. There are over 165 million individual flight records available from October 1, 1987 to current.
Airline On-time Performance Query, Summary - Summarizes the data on a monthly basis for statistical analysis. Can be used to determine trends over time by carrier, flight origin and destination, and length of flight.
Airline Traffic, Capacity, and Utilization - Monthly data as reported to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics on form 41 (T100 Segment) by certificated U.S. and foreign air carriers, for both scheduled and unscheduled flights. Contains statistics for passengers, freight, and mail transported versus seat and freight capacity. Data is available for each month from January 1990.
Airline Profit and Loss - Quarterly profit and loss statements for carriers with annual operating revenues of $20 million or more. The data include operating revenues, operating expenses, depreciation and amortization, operating profit, income tax, and net income and is available from January 2000 to current. Source is the Bureau of Transportation Statistics on form 41 P-12.
Air Carrier Profit/Loss Query - Brief - Easy to use query to generate a report of profit and loss statistics for major, national, and regional air carriers.
Airline Expenses - Quarterly operating expenses, by objective grouping, for carriers with annual operating revenues of $20 million or more, and include such items as salaries, benefits, materials purchased, services purchased, depreciation, amortization, food, and other operating expenses. Data is available from January 2000 to current. Source is the Bureau of Transportation Statistics on form 41 P-6.
Airline Fuel Usage and Costs - Monthly reported fuel costs, and gallons of fuelconsumed, by air carrier and category of fuel use, including scheduled and non-scheduled service for domestic and international traffic regions. Data is available for major, national, and regional air carriers subject to reporting requirements and is available from January 2000 to current. Source is the Bureau of Transportation Statistics on form 41 P-12A.
